Just signed up to do this on a weekly basis parkrun UK.
There's a local one to us and although only 5k it'll be a good training session. It's on every Saturday morning too so doesn't clash with car shows - phew!
I have to admit, I know I won't lol, but I feel like running????!!!!! Thw Americans that are in Ireland with me that are doing the training and running crazy. Two runs everyday for them!
Give it a go - its very addictive.
Its also amazing how it clears the mind, and how you can solve problems whilst your running.
and once the weight begins to move and the fitness climbs you just want to do more!
Last nights run was also impressive - I set several new personal bests.
I'm out again tonight but going to slow the pace and do a longer run.
Went to the run shop in Swindon yesterday morning to have both our gait analysis checked again. Turns out Daves is still spot on but his running shoes were at their limit of 500 miles so he purchased some news
Since having my gait analysed and buying my running shoes a while back I wasn't sure they were 100% right as every time I ran - I had pains! So, having my gait analysed again yesterday proved they weren't right so Dave bought me a new pair for a birthday present (albeit a week early!).
Anyway went out for a run this morning - first time in two weeks and immediately knocked a couple of minutes off my 5k PB
I also had PBs on 400m, 1/2 mile, 1k, 1 mile and 2 miles. Not only that I managed to do a total of 8.6k without stopping.
I think that proves the shoes were wrong and now they are right
