With wheels day fast approaching I thought I had better shake a damp cloth at the Challenger.
No photos though!

Cleaned the bell housing, painted intake. Lifted gearbox, saved going to the gym.

Went to go to the supermarket in her this morning but she wouldn't start - Just turned and turned but wouldn't catch

Dave reckons it's fuel related as when he got home and tried her - it stank of fuel after about two turns!

got a new starter motor yesterday, ordered new cable today, old one too skinny

replaced the bottom ball joints on subaru today

Washed and polished the Fiero. Had a play with the starting issue and ordered a ignition control module (electronic points basically!) from Rockauto.

Fitted new battery stripped and cleaned throttle body

Put some brake fluid in, bled the brakes, and many more things in the other thread.

new starter motor in and working faster and quieter than the old one.

Shook a rag at it on Saturday, reckon it will do for wheels day.

Cleaned up more of the driveshaft.

Check the uj bearings whilst you can. Make sure there are no tight spots.

Oh, and tape up those end caps whilst it's off the car. Don't want any accidents!

Fixed the Fiero yay!!!!!

We replaced the ignition module which is attached to the distributor but this didn't solve it so after some more diagnostics with the multi-meter determined that the pick-up coil in the distributor was at fault. Easy to replace but as the entire distributor was showing much signs of corrosion we opted for a rebuilt distributor which was ready to drop right in.

Problem solved !!!!

Just been out for a quick drive - runs great - in fact better than when she stopped working so very happy!

Filled her to the brim with fuel - last time I put fuel in her was July last year - whoops!
