What have you done to your vehicle today?

How does the Barton install look? Sounds like a nice bit of kit.

Now it’s done, you can’t see a thing! I’ve maintained the stock pistol grip shifter because I like it and because I wanted it to look stock. But the change in shift feel and throw is impressive. Still too much snow out there for a test drive so it can wait until next weekend.

seats and steering wheel out of ranchero have gone to be recovered. extra sound insulation under carpet and the electric window conversion kit have finally arrived from the states.
ordered in December but had to weight because the switches where on back order

Nothing recently but looking forward to washing and polishing her for the first time since the respray ;)

Are you upgrading the seating in any way or just a like for like recovering?

like for like just tiding up the interior seats being done at that place near to were Dan works. steering wheel has gone to a place called royal steering wheels

Started up the T/A today, and fulled it up with fuel.

Went to Southampton today, and back there again tomorrow. Went in the Kia today, a lot of numpties on the road all in a rush to go no where. Majority of the time was sitting in traffic. So tomorrow I'm going in the T/A to make the journey a little more enjoyable, plus to shake the windows of the office I'm visiting. :)

DVLA tax reminder for the T/A came though today, so renewed that for a full year. £245 now.

Drove the Challenger, first time this year.
Thought I would give it an airing and try out the new short shifter, really improves over the stock throw.
Pulled the performance tune out the computer and put the stock one back in as it has to go to the dealership for the air bag recall at some point and they are likely to flash the pcm with the latest firmware whilst it’s in.
All good, but the roads are not really suitable for that much horsepower. Way to slippery and dirty still and I found myself having to be careful with the throttle. Still, nice to drive it again. First time in over 4 months!

And have now booked the car in with a company is Manchester for next weekend.
The IVA rear indicator conversion consists of a strip of tinted LED lights under each outer cluster. They are quite deeply recessed and mostly invisible.
Not sure how they are good enough for the IVA but have seen lots converted like it.
The conversion that’s being done uses switchback LED bulbs in the outer cluster so that it retains the stock look but flashes amber within the light cluster. Much brighter and much safer.
I will take a before and after video.

I bet its nice to get out and drive again. I agree, roads greasy for power at the moment. took the car to B&Q today to get some MDF, more space in the T/A.
